- Clerkenwell Design Week - Biomimicry & Design

clerkenwell

On May 26th the Orangebox Showroom was taken over by nature. Andy Middleton presented an awe inspiring talk on biomimicry - a change with nature. Biomimicry is the practice of taking examples found in nature and applying them to design ideas. Andy is an organisational change specialist, and co-founder of the DO Lectures.
The talk proved extremely popular and
the showroom proved the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

January 2010 Orangebox International

Three years ago we took a conscious decision to test the International market for Orangebox products.

On the sales side Phil Robbins Simon Castle and most recently Jason in the Middle East, supported by Gareth and Angie in CS and the factory teams have worked hard to establish a distribution network and formulate the processes to allow us to export around the world. As well as developing a reasonable level of sales we have been rewarded by a high level of interest and opportunity across the globe and a growing awareness of the Orangebox brand outside of our UK market

Our Export capability also helps to establish Orangebox in a world wide market dominated by the big US companies. So, as well as winning some significant projects such as the recent order for AECOM for 755 ARA in Australia, we are also better armed to protect our home market. Especially, where those key corporate accounts are moving faster toward Global procurement agreements.

To support our overseas contracts and ensure our expansion into new areas, Phil Robbins has been appointed as Export Sales Director.
