Our History & Philosophy
The Smartworking Company™
Orangebox was born in the summer of 2002. To be successful in a market saturated with great companies – some local, some global – we knew we needed a compelling point of difference. We found it in a powerful innovation focus.
The origins of Orangebox lie in the village of Hengoed in South Wales, and with the management buyout of an existing manufacturing business run by Steelcase.
With our business and product range continuing to expand, we are always searching for new talent to join our team. Check out the positions we have available, or send us an unsolicited application. In particular, we are always interested in hearing from skilled upholsterers, sewing machinists and fabric / leather cutters.
At the beginning, the Orangebox team was relatively small and everyone knew everyone. Over the last fifteen years, however, we have grown dramatically, and now number more than 450 people. This can make remaining close to all our colleagues a challenge.
